Grandview Kids is looking forward to welcoming your child(ren) for Summer Camp in 2026!
Registration notice
Registration will open to Grandview Kids clients or those waiting to access services beginning March 23, 2026, at noon. On March 25, 2026, at noon, registration opens to everyone. All registration links shared below are for information purposes only. They will be activated on Monday, March 23, 2026 at noon.
At Grandview Kids’ Summer Camp, your child will enjoy games, crafts, music, sensory and cooperative play with other kids just like them! Campers will utilize a variety of spaces at our Ajax-based headquarters, The Jerry Coughlan Building. The spaces include the enclosed accessible playground, gymnasium, pool and sensory trail. Our team plans a camp curriculum that focuses on developing social interaction, play, motor and leisure skills.
Grandview Kids is committed to inclusive, supportive and safe participation for all children at camp. To ensure this, camp staff are provided with training and support from other Grandview Kids clinicians and staff. Additionally, a 1:3 staff-to-camper ratio is planned.
Camp participation is NOT limited by personal care needs. A child who requires support with personal care such as eating, toileting and/or mobility is welcome. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to review the following criteria to ensure Grandview Kids Summer Camp is the best camp program for their child
Eligibility criteria
Children who will be most successful at Grandview Kids Summer Camp:
- Can remain in a group environment for the duration of a full camp day (e.g., does not require frequent breaks outside of the room/group; remains with a group without leaving; tolerates others in their space)
- Do not engage in behaviours that are harmful or dangerous to themselves or others
- Have a reliable method of communicating their wants and needs
- Demonstrate behaviours and use language that is respectful to self, peers and adults
- Do not require individualized behaviour programming
- Manage and have experience in other group environments with a similar staff-to-child ratio (1 staff to 3 children).
If based on these criteria, it sounds like your child may be better supported in a different camp environment. Our Family Engagement team is happy to provide recommendations. Please contact them at familyengagement@grandviewkids.ca

Please be advised: each camp registration is subject to a $100 non-refundable deposit.
What should my child bring to camp?
Below is a list of items your child should bring to camp. Please leave toys and non-essential technology at home. This helps reduce the spread of sicknesses at camp. You must label all items below with your child’s first and last name.
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Nut-free lunch and snacks
- Be sure to pack an ice pack with your child’s lunch, as there is no fridge access
- Bathing suit and other swim items (for water play in the playground)
- Extra change of clothes
- Reusable water bottle
- Items for diapering, as required
What documentation needs to be completed before my child is registered?
Upon completing the registration on My Community Hub, you will receive a “Summer Camp Participant Profile.” To complete registration and confirm your spot, this form must be completed and returned (with a 5-day window to do so).
Once the form has been reviewed by our camp manager, you will receive confirmation of registration or a call from a member of the team to discuss any further details.
What happens once my child’s registration is confirmed?
Grandview Kids will reach out prior to the start of camp to complete any additional paperwork. This includes the administration of medication and alternative pick-up forms.
You and your child will be required to attend a “Meet-and-Greet” session at The Jerry Coughlan Building in June 2026. Grandview Kids staff will use the information gathered here and through the Summer Camp Participant Profile to determine the best camp group placement for your child. We will invite you to attend this session closer to the date.
We expect families to ensure their child meets the camp eligibility criteria (shared above) before registering for camp. Should the profile and/or meet-and-greet determine that the child does not meet the eligibility criteria, a discussion around family-funded one-to-one support or camp withdrawal will take place.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a refund policy?
A $100 non-refundable deposit will be applied to each camp registration (for every spot filled). Refunds may be requested through My Community Hub and will only be accepted if received before June 19, 2026, at 5 p.m.
Please be advised: All Grandview Kids Summer Camps are non-refundable after June 19, 2026.
Is there a waitlist for Grandview Kids’ Summer Camp offerings?
Grandview Kids does not keep a formal waitlist for summer camp offerings. However, if you have a My Community Hub account, you can click “waitlist” on any of our currently “full” offerings on My Community Hub. Once complete, we will email you if a spot becomes available. To learn more about this process, see “What is the process of securing a camp space that becomes available?” below.
What is the process of securing a camp space that becomes available?
Grandview Kids Summer Camp spaces may become available after all spots have been filled. If this occurs for a 2026 Grandview Kids Summer Camp session, My Community Hub users who have checked the “waitlist” feature (see FAQ above) on the timeslot they are interested in will be notified via email (with 24 hours’ notice) of an available spot. The email will include the date and time the spot will be “released.” Registration will be on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
Please note that using the “wishlist” feature in My Community Hub will not place you on any waitlist.
I heard that Grandview Kids’ Summer Camp filled up quickly last year. Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of securing a spot in the session(s) I want?
Grandview Kids Summer Camps spots fill up quickly. We recommend that you register for My Community Hub prior to the release date and time. If your desired camp session fills up, we recommend that you select the “wishlist” button next to the timeslot in My Community Hub. That way, if a spot becomes available, you will be notified right away.
Learn more about the wishlist feature in the question above (“What is the process of securing a camp space that becomes available?”).
Can I register for just one week of camp?
No. All camp sessions are two weeks long and cannot be purchased separately.
Why are Grandview Kids Camp sessions two weeks long?
Following positive feedback from camp staff and families last summer, Grandview Kids Summer Camp will again be held in two-week sessions this summer.
Transitions and engaging with new places, routines and people can be challenging for many of our campers. Two-week camp sessions allow for the establishment of routines. Additionally, staff reported that having extra time to get to know the campers allowed for a camp experience that supported their individual needs and strengths.
What if my child requires 1:1 support to be successful at camp?
Grandview Kids is NOT able to provide 1:1 staff to support children at camp. However, 1:1 support can be provided by family-hired, paid external support workers. To ensure proper orientation to the site, completed paperwork outlining the external support worker’s name and details must be supplied to Grandview Kids no later than Friday, May 26, 2026. Copies of police record checks are required.
If your child requires 1:1 support and you plan to hire a support worker to attend camp with your child, please email summercamp@grandviewkids.ca to coordinate their attendance.
The following forms will require completion:
Are Grandview Camp fees eligible for OAP Core Clinical Services Funding?
No. Grandview Kids Summer Camp is not eligible as it is not a clinical program.
